ATM TOKEN MACHINE

This was another project done for Camp Sweeney. The camp director Dr. Ernie Fernandez helped with the NT computer part. The camp kids touch the screen which prompts them to enter their code. The correct code makes the computer look for the kids name in it's database and displays it on the screen. The screen says "Hi John Doe how many tokens do you want?".  The kid enters the amount, and the computer then triggers the token spitter with timed pulses through in input/output PCI Buss card that we installed. The correct amount is credited from the kids account in the database. If the kid tries to get more than he has in his account, the system will give as much as it can then displays a no more left in your account message.

The thing really worked very well. The token spitter was a custom deal with a metal plate that rotates pushing coins into the shoot that goes thru the wall (not shown). The coin tokens are loaded into the tall tube. When the coins get low, an electric eye mounted in the tube senses it and signals the computer to refuse to dispense until refilled. The computer touch screen also displays "OUT OF COINS".
