Mecca Design is a great company! They always get us to build cool stuff for tem to integrate into their displays.
This deal was to electronically control a motorized display case. The case was a row of 3 sided columns (called periactoids) that formed a row of display cases when they are all rotated to the correct face. Two of the sides were blank and the third face was clear glass to show the displayed merchandise. It worked like a billboard that changes itself.
The motor control had to accelerate, then continue to a pre designated point, then decelerate and then stop at exactly the right point to have them all lined up perfectly. Then it would return to the original position.
The system was automatic but in addition had to have a manual override control.

My favorite part is always rounding up the parts. It's like Christmas.
Here is what went into the manual control unit.

Here's the manual controller completed.

It all had to be modular so it could be deployed all across the country. Here is a shot of the parts and color coded cables we made.

Here it is all plugged in as it passed the testing phase.
